As a young teenager, Lee designed websites simply for fun, oblivious to design rules or web standards.
After some time in a self-contained playground of web design bliss, Lee began to take notice of web standards and took inspiration from web design galleries.
He also started to take inspiration from the things around him and his own imagination. Today, Lee creates website designs professionally for Norwich Designer and Starstruck Media.
Lee’s first taste of print design came during a work experience placement at Sinclair International, where he was encouraged to develop his artistic skills.
During his placement, he adjusted a Marks & Spencer fruit label design as required. During his next work placement, Lee produced an Open Day poster for City College Norwich.
Some years later he joined up with a UEA creative writing tutor to create Gatehouse Press, where he currently designs the covers for most of their publications.
Having dabbled in very amatuer animation work for fun, Lee was approached by the senior designer of BBC News to brainstorm and exchange ideas for a relaunch of the channel.
Later, Lee was asked to come up with a brand for a new production company, Starstruck Media.
Lee went on to design opening titles and graphics for some of their productions for Channel 4. Lee continues to work with Starstruck Media on new projects.
Lee was born and raised in Norwich, Norfolk. His childhood remained pretty normal until he reached High School. After being bullied, he dropped out of school and was home tutored. Lee eventually regained some confidence and took on a work experience placement at Sinclair International, where he was encouraged to develop his artistic skills.
Lee later joined a course at City College Norwich, where he received an incredible confidence boost. He went on to design an Open Day poster for the college and entered into courses on photography and web design.
After leaving college, Lee developed his skills further and was approached by Norfolk writer Tom Corbett to design a logo and website for his new publishing company, Gatehouse Press. Lee not only developed the brand but continues to design the covers for their publications.
Lee was also approached by a television presenter who needed a brand for his new production company, Starstruck Media. Lee later created opening titles and graphics for some of Starstruck’s productions for Channel 4, including movie specials for Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Source Code and I Am Number Four.
